Mathematical modeling of organization management by value guidelines: algorithms for analytic hierarchy process on the basis of quantitative significance criteria

Abstract

In this article, we continue the description of mathematical models and algorithms designed to manage an organization based on value guidelines. In this approach, we apply a technique previously used in another subject area, and transfer it to our case. At the same time, in our subject area, we consider some basic characteristic that has a causal relationship to the dynamics of change in this organization to be the value guide of the organization. This characteristic should be optimal for a given set of criteria. Previously, we proposed an approach to the formulation of optimization problems designed for such modeling. We have allocated a special linguistic variables corresponding to the values of the considered variables. For each variable, we define possible approaches to the calculation of objective functions that describe the impact of management decisions on value norms. After that, we describe possible multi-criteria optimization algorithms designed to determine the pseudo-optimal variant of the set of management actions. Among the methods we have considered earlier, there is the use of qualitative comparison of the significance of the criteria. In this paper, we move from qualitative information to quantitative one: we consider an approach related to the determination of the optimality; this approach is based on the well-known method of hierarchy analysis. We take into account the quantitative significance of the criteria and apply special auxiliary mathematical models. We give the general principles of application of this method in the considered problems.
