Abstract

The grant proposal procedure in accordance with European rules and standards is a complex process, that demands a significant time investment. During the preparation of the proposal, errors frequently occur due to vast amount of diverse data and complexity of their interrelationships. These errors and the associated time expenditures can lead to the rejection of the grand. The loss of funding increases the risks of an unsuccessful project implementation. The paper presents an information system for grant proposal, aiming to simplify and expedite the process of forming proposals by providing easy data entry, automating intermediate calculations, validating input data during the entry process. The system comprises two applications: an administrator and a user. The administrator application allows administrators to publish initial information about open grants, receive proposals from users, analyze the proposals, and add/edit reference data. The user application enables users to form and submit grant proposals online. Additionally, the system can be used as an electronic archive of grants and proposals. The development of this system is being carried out using the WALT platform and other web technologies.
