Economy standards in the digital age and information and communication technologies on the example of the British Standards Institute
Abstract
This article addresses the development of the British Standards Institution (BSI). We discuss the role of standards in the digital economy, the history of the BSI. The focus is on the benefits for the companies to work with standards and participation in the development of standards. We provide the data on specific improvements in the economic performance of enterprises related to standardization. The main purpose of the article is to show the importance of standardization for businesses in various sectors of the economy.
