Risk-based approach to locating supply centers on the transport network
Abstract
This article presents a risk-based approach to the placement of logistics supply centers (CMTS) taking into account dynamically changing risks in transport networks. The developed approach combines methods of network analysis, spatial optimization and risk-oriented management, ensuring sustainable supply under uncertainty. The key feature of the algorithm is the adaptive mechanism for forming a set of potential CMTS placement locations, which, based on a modified shortest path search algorithm, determines coverage areas taking into account specified restrictions on the radius of action and the acceptable risk level. This mechanism ensures the selection of such CMTS placement locations that guarantee supply of nodes along safe routes. The algorithm is applicable to logistics planning in specialized tasks that require prompt deployment of sustainable supply systems (supply of military units, emergency response, etc.). The practical significance of this work lies in its applicability to planning logistics systems operating in rapidly changing environments. The results are valuable for logistics and infrastructure management professionals, as well as emergency management agencies, ensuring the reliability of supply chains in dynamically changing conditions.
